Cig Lighter conversion?
If I wanted to take the power run to the cigarette lighter and convert it to run something electrical, what do I need?

Yep, they do, but I don't want to use a plug in adapter for what I'm thinking about, I'd just have to jerry rig the adapter then. Might as well use the lighter power, especially since I don't smoke.

Yea, you cant make +120v out of a 12v souce, need some special parts for that kind of conversion. If you have little to no background in electrical wok i would suggest not attempting to do it youself, but rather just get the plug-in adapter. Best-buy or circuit city have ones for like ~$45. Best to just get that then to set an actual fire in you car, lol.

Nope, it already comes with an inverter box wired in, I just need a 12v source. Anyone happen to know the amperage on it?
