Default Chipped p28 for D16z6? Any Advice on this?

Been looking ( searched of course ) and didnt find the right info I needed.

If I chip my p28, what can I expect? What's got to be done tuning wise or can I just get it chipped and plug it back up and it'd be fine?

Easy to chip or does anyone know somwhere to send it to get it done? I saw that Katman does it and I Emailed him but no response as of now. Pricey or what?

My current Set up is:
D16z6
AEM CAI
Airmass Catback

And as of next week:
D16y8 IM 60mm
D16y8 Head Gaskets
B18 TB
Jimfab Urethane Motor Mounts

Any suggestions? Dont flame. By the way I am NOT Dream.. I'm his roomate using his UN. Thanks.

if you know how to use soldering iron and are able to do it with great skill then you should be more then ready for ECU chipping. you can then purchase DIY kit.

gains can go from 2-7whp on most mild applications. as far as tuning I suggest timing adjustment to close to stock or slightly retarted. a little FPR tuning as well if you have it (will depend on the chips maps).

you can get it done in many places, btw check my sig
Katman, Kenji, Locash, me and few others on the board.

check few dynos of my chip by Moosilla:

Cool man. Kenji got back to me on Chipping. Is it 160 for the chip and installation and tuning and stuff?

I want to have it set to run good on a camless d16z6. Won't do a cam but I really want to chip it? What's the best chip to go with and how long will it take you to do it?

$160US includes the ECU as well and shipping. not just chipping of your ECU. chipping itself is with shipping back $85. turn around time is from 2-6 business days.

program recomendations:
XS, Gude, Prospeed, Spoon.

Okay what if I send you my ECU and the CHip? Or do you use only the chip you have? I think i'll go with Gude or Spoon and get a Gude Cam later this month after I do the rest of my setup?

Yeah that doesn't sound right. I'll get the chip for my motor of course.

Nextelbuddy aren't you on ImportAtlanta.Com?

By the way, the chips on EBay don't exactly say that they are SPOON chips..most say Spoon SPEC chips..is there a difference? I would guess so since they only sell them for like 25 dollars for everything shipped? Any info?

I got an XS spec ship from ebay and it works great. Moved my VTEC to engage at 5100, killed the rev limiter, and gave me better fuel mileage and power. You will need to do some tuning to get the most out of you chip...

4.3 WHP difference is what I got from the chip. What I did was advance the timing two deg., and pumped up the fuel pressure. You just have to make sure to use high octane fuel, and you might want to get a colder plug. I use the step up of the NGK. You car has two OEM plugs. One normal, one colder. The part number should be under your hood on the label....

OMG you do not need to get one step colder plugs forupgrading your ecu unless you are boosting or using NOS. using a 1 or 2 steup colder plug with just boltons and ecu upgrade it retarded and a waste of money. and this thign abotu the high octane gas. cmon i accidently put 87 octane in my boosted b18c1 and i havent gotten any detonation yet and i am empty already. dont listen to NEWBS

Hook me up yo. I'm on IA.com for the flea markets too. Local.

I'll do the ECU chipping and stuff through him if possible and affordable.
