get a 350 with HEI ignition and one hot wire to the distributor and you're in business! Get some custom engine mounts and hack up a Chevy dually rear end and weld some suspension mounts in and thats taken care of too. Lots of work man, lots of work

My first knree-jerk reaction was to delete this thread, but I'm honestly asking you if you're dead serious.
I just hope that you know if you really want to do that that monster trucks cost well over $100,000.00 - that's more than some houses.
If you don't reply within 48 hours I will delete this though, because it is 100% flame material.
I mean technically it;s EG-related, but really I'm sure nobody here would know how to help you get started with that project other than common sense type stuff.

well if u are serious y not start with a jeep frame and running gear as it has a short wheel base and will prolly be easier to match up to the dimensions of a civic. plus there are plenty of kits to put the sbc into a jeep and u will already have the front and rear axles and transfer case taken care of. i hope this guy is serious and not another troll on the board.

i think it is safe for deletion now, Tom. the flamers must still be asleep, because this is a disaster for a civic. he doesnt know anything about monster truck chassis, and he wants to do this. most monster truck builders couldn't do this, they would have a full fiberglass body built. real monster trucks (like grave digger) dont start with a truck, they start from scratch. by the way, Tom- i think the VSM hatchie would look good on some 44"s
