Default solid motor mounts?

Well, my EF hatch is geting the heart put in for the first time in 1.5 years. If I were to make some solid motor mounts for my car, will the rear crossmember and engine be able to take the abuse from the mounts?

I ask because I have seen rear crossmembers crack in the older EF chassis due to too little flex in rear mount filler. I've also seen mounts rip right out of driver's side of the block before. I'm not sure if this was 100% due to the mountws, but I'm guessing the mounts make a difference as well

Are tubular rear crossmembers still legal in Hotrod?

paul, i recomend building solid side mounts for the engine, that go to the frame rail. similar to that of the 92+ civic style mounts(jimfab lowers)

also it might be a good idea to do something similar to what tony did on the latest hotrod honda's that he's built(the tube that runs under the trans and connects the front and rear crossmember) it seems like it would act like an engine plate in a way.

i believe the tubular crossmembers are illegal ??? can anyone clarify?
