no your mid rocker arm needs to open up. your primary and secondary lock together to the mid which has more lift.

Re: cel and vtec? (otakueric)
ok u have a total of 3 rocker arms per clyinder. primary, secondary and mid. your pri and sec are on there own lobe when vtec is NOT engaged. they both have the same lift and duration. when vtec is engaged the pri and sec arm locked together to the mid rocker arm which has more lift and duration. so when vtec is engaged the pri and sec no longer contact to there cam lobes. just the mid rocker arm.
pri and sec are just normal operating valves when ur normally driving. hope this helps.

Re: cel and vtec? (otakueric)
ttt
please any help?
kinda confused as to why my vtec aint kicking in
im throwing code 14 but getting that taken care of pretty soon
i filled up my oil to the top of the 2nd dot
im running an itr block with 11.5:1 comp and a stock gsr head, p72 obd2 ecu
i only have 1 of my o2 sensors plugged in, could this be something? but when i do the test by short circuiting the green plug ove rmy ecu, only code 14 comes up
*i only have one o2 sensor plugged in, because i think one of the o2 sensors is supposed to be in my downpipe or something, not too sure, i just have one going to a gsr catalytic converter, and one just hanging up there.
please help
thanks
