i got a 94 eg with a b18c1 swap my set up is just header and strait pipe short ram and a p28 the problem im having is whenever i hit vtec its throwing a cel but soon as i cut the car off the cell is gone i have noloss invtec just wondering what could be wrong thanks in advance

i have this same problem....never got to find out what was wrong....it was code 3 which is map sensor...it usually happens when the car is hot,then go to VTEC on 3rd...then it will pop on...i tried changing the map sensor and it was still the same...although,i also had APEXI VAFC on....we trouble shot it and still the same, so we just disengaged the VAFC and everything just went back to normal....

try checking the code when it turns on so atleast you know what code is it...thats my opinion...

i cant check it while the car is running right? soon as i cut it off the cel leaves till i hit vtec but no loss of vtec or power still pulls very hard think it could be from the header its a dc 4 to 1 no 02 sensor and no cat
