Hello ht!Sorry if this q has been answered before or if I come off like an idiot but here's the story:

My CEL light turned on about a month ago,yes I'm dumb for not diagnosing it when it was on.didn't notice a difference in driving so I was thinking it was probably a loose wire or something.Always wanted to diagnose it but never had the time to.Anyways yesterday my CEL light was off when I started my car.Just wondering what the cause would be that it turned off.and btw I drive '00 civic dx hatch.help and inquiries are appreciated thanks!

Edit:I meant "then" turns off not "the" lol

Kinda late now that it's off. It could have been anything. You might try pulling a code in the off chance that it shows something.

Once a CEL is on, if the problem corrects itself, after 50 ignition cycles it will turn off... Chances are your code is no longer stored in the ecu... Ive had map sensors randomly glitch and a little stumble, then it cleared up, so it happens...

Yea that's why I thought.I wanna see if I could sill get a code off it.oh and if it matters my CEL went on the day I installed my strut bar or if it was just coincidence

You may have bumped a connection to the iat or map sensor loose or something while installing it... Go to autozone and have the code scanned or jump the ecu diagnostic harness and watch the cel flashes...

Some shops can pull up old codes that have been erased with certain scanners if you have a pepboys or something near you go there and ask them
