Default srs light acting as a CEL? Possible?

heres the dilly guys...
00 civic ex, 2001 itr swap. car has a switch wired to the little short circuit plug to read cel code with out the hassle of doing the wire thing everytime. anyways, 01 itr ecu had the immobilizer removed, therefore it throws automatic cel, but its a soft light and it throws no code, it just glows constant with the switch on or off, which means the car isnt in safe mode so vtec still engages. however, the srs light is on now, and when i flip the switch for the cel, the srs light begins to throw code. 5 long and 1 short. has anyone ever heard anything of this nature? code 51 according to the srs light? i was assuming it acts as a backup cel because the regular cel is constantly on because of the removed IMM. i dunno though, at this point im just comfused, there is no code 51 according to the regular cel anyways, so i dont know what to make of this. any advice would be helpful at this point, thanx.
