Car won't start, possible hydro lock? 00 Ex
On the way home, the rain from Hurricane Rita was horrible, I've had my intake for 2+ years, never an issue.
Went through a small puddle with my clutch in in my apartment complex, I left out of the clutch and start to go and my car dies. Waiting a couple seconds, tried to start it and it sounds like it wants to start but wont turn over.
Let it sit for a couple hours, came home, took spark plugs out and tried to start it to see if water would come out but nothing came out, put everything back, no change.
Any suggestions? Please.

We looked in there and no water was in there.
How do you turn your crank? I'm not good with cars.

If it is hydrolocked you're not screwed persay. My insurance company, Allstate, covered my jdm d15b when I ran thru a flooded road from the hurricanes we were having near here 2 years ago. Just had to show proof of purchase or they will only pay for a stock motor that comes with that car. Basically falls under acts of God policy. Cal them asap.

Yes I do have a CAI.
So if the crank doesnt turn clockwise, I'm screwed?

Still a no go, it's sprinkling so I didnt want to do too much, I took the cap off to see if anything was wet and nothing seemed wet, still wont fire.

Pull the intake off from the throttle body, if there is any water at all in it, more than likely its a hydrolocked issue. Did you check each cylinder for water. Put the pistons at TDC and look again. When my B16 hydrolocked, I could have seen the water on top the piston water was in. More than likely it'll be just one piston and in one cylinder.

ya i hydrolocked my motor... drove through a little puddle with my cai.. and was idling through it.. when suddenly my front right drops an inch and i kept going but it died.. tried to crank it.. heard a loud snap...
so i towed it home took the head off snapped #1 cylinder rod while there was mass water in there
