Default car sometimes shutsoff?
i havea 93 coupe.with the stock d16z6. sometimes at a dead stop my car shutsoff.anyoneknow why it does that?

is your idle low? mine idles very low and sometimes on hot days it idles very low and dies when i go into neutral

yea that excatly happens..like when i speed up and stop at a stop sign.how do i fix that

to set base idle: jump the scs connector, unplug the iacv, adjust idle speed... plug iacv back in un-jump scs and reset pcm by pulling backup fuse

same here too...i have the same problem...can usually shuts off when i'm in neutral and even in gear during hot weather....running ls/vtec.....and no one could pin point the problem.......

read back a little you have a base idle adjustment problem and most likely have a gummed up idle air control valve (iacv) also....

I don't think it's the idle b/c the car idles fine sometimes. Where is the IACV located on the GSR manifold?
