car is running off the battery

car is running off the battery
for some reason my car is running off the battery. its a 95 h22 in a 97 civic. new alternator and battery so i know its not those things. when the car is running if i unhook the positive terminal the car dies instantly telling me its not running off the alternator but the battery. any ideas? this just happen out of nowhere. thanks

sometimes new alternators can be bad check it out.
oh yeah check and make sure the alternator is plugged up ive forgot that before.

DO NOT DO THAT ANYMORE, YOU CAN FRY THE ECU
that test dosent work on newer cars, there is simply too much electronics. the battery works like a big dampner to absorb spikes from the alternator, without the battery you can easily damage sensitive electrical components.
that is not an accurate test to gauge if the alternator is working, take the alternator in to a checker or autozone and have it tested.
