Car really boggy.. anyone help?
97 LX
obd2-1 conversion
obd0 b16a
obd2 injectors
jdm p30 ecu
NO CEL's
all wiring is correct
new plugs
oil is good
now the partial throttle is just weak you can tell the car is holding back.. Vtec crosses over and there is a real dead spot between 6-7k or so then after that it pulls ok.. Its for sure not up to par
now can a distributor be not good and not throw a CEL? I know the ecu is good ... I also think the car may need a valve adjustment but i know thats not causing it to be that slow.. Also it has a LS tranny so its obviously feels slower due to the longer gears but i know that wont cause the hesitation ..
I had a chipped ecu with a skunk 2 style program and it was WAY worse.. the p30 feel alot better but still not up to par
any feed back or thoughts?

yea i thought about that but i notice it changed when i tried different ecu's like the stock p30 runs better than the chipped kenji program ecu
it kinda feels like maybe not enough spark or something
oh timing belt is on correct and timing is 16 deg

same problem. Light throttle is good, heavy throttle is horrible.
Things that helped me, but still its horrible.
PCV valve, vaccum leak, exhaust leak, cap/rotor and wrong plugs, ground connections, Knock sensor, most likely you have a leak somewhere, like your IM, exhaust mani, or valve cover. these are issues i corrected that made it better.
Does it get wierd sounding at high RPMS? like raspy but not loud as in a exhaust leak?
Fuel and spark is probably your issue.

Re: (YoungKadafi)
brand new ngk plugs
no exhaust or i/m leaks. it will idle fine.. but when cold its really boggy under 3k and when warmed up its just lazy on the top end
knock sensor is good, good grounds.. valve cover has nothing to do with it.. has new cap and rotor

you would be supprised what kinda leaks show up at certail levels of throttle and rpms, some of them are quiet too.
what about fuel pump ground? Check your tps, map and IAT for oil, if you have a K&N filter, sometimes oil will expletive around with the sensors. Not sure but my problem has been around for years, and ive pretty much replaced everything but the engine, its off and on, but mostly i have no throttle response or pickup, just bogs all the time.
also ive been told to check the ECU, there could be a troublesome wire somewhere. I read about that causing huge problems, went and looked at the whole wiring for all the parts on my car, found like 8 different shorts, and crimped wires.

check for ground loops, and power wires crossing over multiple ECU wires, this will expletive **** up hard in most cases, the power wires interfere with the signal wires, and create uneven signals, so keep your wiring simplified.

Re: (YoungKadafi)
i just fixed a ton of wiring.. but like i said one ecu will run better than another..
im thinking the distributor is getting bad , conversion harness is messed up or
runs better when its warmed up
