Stumped! Car runs rough no cel Jdm Gsr
I have a 96 Jdm Gsr 98hb just today I hit second gear at like 5000rpm and I lost all power but just some misses at idle and a loud back fire. The car has ran for years.
Compression 210x4
Injectors were swapped to test
No cel
Computer swapped for stock no change
Verified spark at all cyls
Plugs look ok?
I don't get it. Grounds all good . Any Input I appreciate

Ahahaha omg man the car has a Gsr engine with a p28 ecu chipped on chrome
And a stock ecu..... STOCK FOR THE ENGINE LISTED LMFAO wow as if it mattered .
Thanks tho.
This happened after hitting second gear as if something in the wiring is no longer working or the car jumped timing.
Will post back what I find while we are wondering what ecu is in the car

Troll you set yourself up? The car has the correct ecu.... Moving on.
Timing was correct, no issues there.
If I pull the injectors one at a time there is no change. If I pull 2 it runs more rough.
Something strange with the injectors wiring? Cause I've already swapped to another injector set to troubleshoot that.

Actually, NotARacist was asking a very simple and usable question but moving on...
When you say no power, what exactly are you referring to? No engine performance or no electrical response?
What exactly is the engine doing or not doing?
Idles okay? What rpm does it idle?
How is the rpm response, does the engine rev normally?
You checked spark correct? You have a question mark after your comment about the plugs which makes it an incomplete statement.
Have you removed and inspected the distributor cap and rotor?
How's your fuel pressure?
You mentioned that by removing the injectors it gets worst. When you say removing, do you mean disconnecting the wiring harness connector or actually removing them and leaving a major vacuum hole in the fuel rail? Please elaborate.
Have you tried pulling the fuel rail with the injectors connected and cranking the engine to see the spray pattern?
Please don't respond with a simple yes and no answer. It's difficult to diagnose a car over the internet, so the most info you can give us the best we can help.

This engine runs like total **** u can't rev it cause it's so starved for fuel.
B&m gauge at the filter is showing 45psi while running like ****, fuel pump sounds normal
I have only removed the rail and swapped injectors since they wanted to pop out and leak I couldn't check the spray pattern, just no change with another set of 4. When I was isolating them I was un clipping them from the harness.
That said the spark is not verified other than it runs on all cylinders, dizzy is 4 months old I haven't touched it yet.
Next thing when I get a chance is to meter the injector clips? I am not sure what I should be seeing.
I have limited tools at this time until I get to my garage.
Maybe the wires went bad I have no clue lol thanks all

Okay so no engine response and idles rough.
First order would be to check your spark plugs for a strong spark. Check the electrodes and make sure they are not damaged.
If you have 45psi at the filter and you already swapped the injectors and it's still bad, I would imagine it's not your fuel system. You can check the resistance(ohms) on the injector pins and at least compare it to the other set. I can't recall off the top of my head what it should be, but maybe check the FAQ section with the service manual.
For the spark, pull the wires off the plugs and insert a screwdriver in them and let the metal rod sit closed to a grounded metal part and have someone crank the engine while you check for the spark to jump. This is a very ghetto way of checking but it's quick and easy. You should always carry at least a spare known-good plug for this simple test.
Considering you have good compression, I would probably skip a leak down test at the moment, you can always come back to it.
Look into the spark situation before wasting more of your time.
Good luck!

So weird. Well it ran on 1 and 2 fine on its own and then ran on 3-4 on its own.
With it all hooked up my wideband just shows 18+ no fuel.
Weak spark eh? I'll be pissed !!! Lol update tmrw. If so the fuel just isn't burning my wideband would see it?

Dizzy cap had a crack, removed it and there's a bolt inside with plastic shavings.

OP, you have the bad attitude. Unless this changes, you won't last much longer here.
