Default Car overheating help

Was dealing with an idle problem cleaned the iacv and fitv now the idle is normal and doesn't fluctuate. Also replace coolant lines running into iacv.
Finally let the car get up to temperature an drove it and the car started
Overheating the temp gauge was all the way up to hot.
Any ideas/suggestions?

Also what motor do you have? I have a b16 in my hatch and I had a overheating problem and I had to get a bigger radiator. Still had a lil overheating pro lem and got a slim fan, which pulls or pushes more air than factory, and that did the trick. Hope it helps u out

Im guessing and hoping it has something to do with coolant. The coolant lines and coolant was ****ed with a lot during this process.
But I'm just trying to get some more input

Sounds like air in the system. Did you burp the cooling system? I use this:

http://www.amazon.com/Lisle-24610-Sp.../dp/B001A4EAV0

It's a great product. Fill the funnel with coolant and run the car. As it expands it's also creates a high point for air to escape the motor/radiator/hoses/etc etc etc.... And when you're done, stick the plug in the funnel, and empty it back in the coolant bottle for use at a future time... I've found this is the BEST way to ensure ALL air has been removed from a cooling system.
