Car is starting to over heat?......
did a search on this but found no answers that could really help me. Ok I think my radiator fan is broken or not working. I can driving the car the coolant temp is normal and if I let my car just sit and idle for a while the temp will rise. I've been driving now with my heat on so i dont really know if the temp rises. I am to scared not to drive with the heat not on. Also, my fluid in my reserve is starting to disappear so i filled it. Could this be the switch relay or the coolant temp sensor? what about the thermostat? Car is a 92 eg with a JDM B16. Thanks
Run the motor to normal operating temperature at idle and check to see if the radiator fan kicks on. If it doesn't, the your problem is most likely the coolant temperature sender.
If you didn't replace the themostat when the swap was done, now's a great time to do that!

you answered it in your post.THE FAN.when you drive air is moving through your rad so it dont get near as hot ,sitting or idling thats when it shoots to red.hope this helps you.take care of your cooling system, new coolant, thermostat, and make sure your fan works. easy way to check your fan.unplug your fan motor plug,it helps to have an extra plug to check this with, run jumpers direct from your fan plug to the bat.does not matter pos-neg it just spins the fan backwards.if your fan spins its your thermo sensor or fan switch what ever.
