car doesnt start..please help!

car doesnt start..please help!
my friends car wont start...now his knock sensor doesnt work, would this effect anything? just took the motor apart because it rated 95% leakage when we did a compression test. then we fixed the problem, relapped the valves and now its 220 across the board. we hooked everything up right...the onyl thing i can think of is the knock sensor....he said soemthign about how he broke it. any help is greatly appreciated thanks

thanks jeremy...yes it had gas. i guess when i did the compression test i put the wires on wrong...i was so confused for a few days on why it wouldn't start and i didn't even think of the plug wires :
