Default Knock Sensor Help

After installing a JRSC on my '95 GSR I threw a code 23 - knock sensor. Has anyone replaced they're knock sensor before? Will I be able to unsrew the sensor from below the car?

BTW, the code was thrown as soon as I turned the ignition. It didn't wait until I reached 5000 rpm, etc.

Knock sensor can be ur gas..u should use a higher octane..if the sense that it pings then the knock sensor will retard the timing automatically and will throw a check engine...another thing u can do is check for the wiring specially the those socket that is connected to knock sensor itself...make sure they fit together with those tabs...if they are not aligned properly it will sense that the knock sensro is disconnected...call me i can explain this to u better...

Thanks for your reply.
The gas in my tank is 94.

After removing my cat and oil cooler I had enough room to remove the tab and push it back in. I also made sure the tab had slack so it wasn't strained. No luck.

I guess my next job will be to hook up a voltmeter to the knock sensor wire harness and connect it to the correct ECU pin. I'll see if it completes a loop. If it does, then the wires are fine and the sensor needs replacing. If it doesn't complete a loop, I'll simply make a new connection from the ECU to the knock sensor.

Ya know, it really sucks that I spent all weekend installing a JRSC, and I can't even drive the damn thing yet.
