car died.. and I dont know what to do...
I finally got my car running good. and now it decides to just not start. wtf!? the guy who installed my vafc was a dumbass. all the sudden the vafc doesn't turn on along with my car I checked the wires and the red wire had become disconnected. so I reconnected it and the car still dont start. I went ahead and unwired the vafc. and the vtm signal wire is nowhere to be found, but that would not cause the car to start.ok... when you turn the key the first click where your lights in the cluster turn on for a sec, you hear the fuel pump prime, well I dont hear my pump anymore. I have no clue what to do. I am pretty sure the thing has no spark either, and I just put a brand new distributor off my buddies b16a he got from jdm honda parts. any help will be very appreciated. btw I have a new alternator, dist, battery, plugs, wires, cap and rotor. and I even tried a different ecu.
thanks!
thanks!

Seriously I wouldn't even touch it... call the guy who wired the vafc and MAKE him fix it...
if you payed for it to be installed he's responsible for PROPERLY installing it...

I would do the opposite. I WOULD'NT let the foo how installed the VAFC touch it. I would let him know he fucked something up however.

check your underhood fuses as well as your underdash fuses.
if the wire disconnected, chances are it shorted something. and if your fuel pump isnt turning on, then the car is obviously not going to start. check all the electrical and post the results.

Re: (j.fuggi)
Dude I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM Mine isn't from a VAFC install though. The fuel pump won't prime or anything. I think it may be my aftermarket blaster coil on my MSD ignition. I have a B20 and I have no $$ to buy another distributor to even find out if that's it. I am screwed right now. I changed the fuel pump and then i changed all of the underhood fuses. Next is the fuses under the dash and seeing if it is showing a CEL. Man this thing has pissed me off. I haven't even driven my car on the street(has started and driven like 3 times) since I finished everything.
Sorry to ***** up your thread but I'm just venting. If I find out what it is I'll let you know but I won't even be home til Friday. Hopefully you can find out and let me know!!!

nobody is going to know what this dude did... or what is the actual problem from your description...
If you want to know steps on how to isolate what the problem with the fuel pump priming. I can type out the steps in the helms tomorrow....
But if you are looking for a solution to your specific problem it is as simple as calling whoever installed it all ghetto and reaming him. If you're scared he'll just F it up more then take it to another shop that is more trust worthy and bill that sonuvabiotch that F'd it up to begin with... but that's not the best way because he can refuse to pay your bill at the other place and you'd probobly lose in small claims because you didn't give him an opportunity to fix it.

Re: (NonovUrbizniz)
Try borrowing a good main relay or just buy a new one, it could have gotten fried, if the fuel pump isn't priming it is probably the main relay. You can find it right above the fuse box just below the steering wheel on the LH side.

Re: (Happyman)
Before you install the VAFC, try and sort out the problem at hand rather than add another element to the problem, it makes for difficult trouble shooting. But to answer the VAFC install question, it is not hard to do but it is time consuming and you have to be very careful.
Call honda and see if the part number for the del sol relay and a civic is the same, I am thinking it might be the same. But just check anyway.
