Default can't get my car inspected!

So i have a 99 si, with a few goodies. Built motor, jackson sc, etc. So i went to get it inpected, first time in massachusetts, and have failed numerous times. I first thought it was the greddy e manage which i unhooked, then failed again. So i drove for 500 miles and failed again. Now the e manage is out completely and my ecu is still ready "not ready" which is failing me.

So now, i have a different ecu, which i will try, but think i will fail due to a different vin. Is there any way to make my ecu normal again? if so where and how and price?

What should i do!?

thanks!

you need a working P2T ECU with no CELs and the OBD2 port connected correctly so the inspection station and scan tools can communicate with the ECU, you also need to drive the car twice for about 20-30 miles so the readiness codes can become active goodluck

Correct, you must use the stock ecu for whatever car you have. In your case the P2T is the factory one you need.

p.s. there is no vin identification on the ECU

Yes there is no vin id on an ECU... this is all the markings that you will see on the ECU.

the readiness codes are what's causing you to not pass. just make sure they are complete, and you'll be good to go.

The readiness codes will be reset only if you drive for 8 miles at 50 miles per hour... i just had to pass smog and that was my cure for the obd2 part. You have to do that straight every time you reset ur codes.

Peace out

damn.. I'm glad I live in the middle of nowhere.. all they do is make sure my car can stop and go.. check the brakes, headlights, and tires.. then slap a sticker on.

make sure your ECU is getting constant power. if not, it's resetting each time you shut off your car and it will never work.
