Can't Figure this problem out... Please Help
A couple months ago my 95 civic ex tranny was grinding so instead of cracking it open and replacing the syncros I put a 97 civic dx tranny in (1.5 non vtec) to the 1.6 vtec. My gears wear much longer so I had to stay in lower gears to get up to speed. Then my clutch went out so I replaced that. Recently the car has been making grinding noises during acceleration and deceleration and even in idle except when I press in the clutch. I took the tranny off and replaced the throw out bearing and even replaced my old axles. Its still making the same noise and become louder. To me it sounds like the noise is coming internally from the transmissions near the passenger side motor mount. Everyone I ask says something different. I have no idea what is wrong please help.

Can you please describe the sound more? When exactly does it happen?
Changed tranny fluid recently? etc...

yes ive changed the fluid two times now, the sound when in idle is a knocking noise, and when I accelrate is a whinding noise. Almost like you are going in reverse extremely fast.

it started out in first, then in second, now I hear all the way through fourth...
Like I said the whinding noise stops when I press the clutch in and I replaced the throw out bearing a couple days ago.
