Calibrating speedometer.
I was talking to my friend about getting new rims for my car. He said i have to get the speedometer adjusted because it will be off after I put on the rims. He said if the wheel is spinning at the same speed, but with a bigger rim it will make the speedometer off. So is there any truth to this? Or is the change so minute it won't make much of a difference?

Somewhat. If you keep the overall diameter of the wheel the same (i.e. get larger rims with smaller tire sidewalls) you should be okay. It's called plus sizing. You may still be off about 1-5% depending on the size of rims and tires, but it's not that much. Check out the tire rack for your plus sizing options, and a better description of it.
