Default A/C question. Please help!

Does anyone know why my a/c blows cold when I'm driving on the highway but not when I'm driving in town in stop and go traffic? Also, is there anyway to correct it? Input is greatly appreciated!

You could have a leak in your ac system. Go get your system tested. You could just add some more refrigerant if it is low and see if it that helps.

92-93=R12 (unless it was converted)
94-95=R134a

I know what you mean. I just bought one of the $20 recharge kits and recharged my del sol. It's freezing inside with the top on.

custom lines? however made your custom lines is very smart or really fu#kin dumb
ok, either you have a leak......your low on freon.......or you have some build up (bugs n stuff) on your condenssor, or the fins on the condessor are closed (there has to be alot of them)
if your fans weren't coming on, the comp. blow off valve would let it out or u would have a massive leak. those are the only reasons i can think of

Ok, lets think about this

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by hbhonda &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Does anyone know why my a/c blows cold when I'm driving on the highway but not when I'm driving in town in stop and go traffic? If it blows cold on the highway, then he does NOT have a leak, and is NOT low on freon and I highly doubt he has bugs in his condensor fins. Check your fan, probably isn't coming on like it should.
