Bypassing VTEC oil pressure sensor
I have an OBD2 JDM ITR motor converted to OBD1 going into a OBD1 car with a chipped P28 ECU. I was wondering if one, is it safe to bypass the VTEC oil pressure sensor? And two which is the proper way to do so? I searched and found on here that splicing the wire to the VTEC solenoid wire on the ECU harness is the best way... Anyone else, thanks.

by far the best would be to get the sensor and VTEC solinoid from a USDM engine and run the wire for it.
second best way is to simply disable the sensor in the chip.
third best way is to jumper the sensor to the VTEC line.
second and third are really close in order though.

you're fooling the ECU into thining that the sensor is there when it's not.
so if anything happens that the sensor would normally alert the engine that bad things are happening the ECU will not do anything about it.
it's this way with turning off or fooling/tricking any sensor.

Exactly, Take the Vtec Sol wire, and tap it into the wire for the ground for the vtec pressure switch and you will be fine, I have done it plenty of times.
