Default Brake shield

Does it matter if its cut off? Whats it do exactly......sorry for the stupid question, girl wont believe me....Thks. Also, my shifter is loose as a goose.....i've got a 92 hatchie Si. Is it the bushing or the linkage or what else could it be?

It guards the backside of the rotor from road debris. I don't have mine on the rear disk, and haven't had any problems....

dont need the dust shield... shifter is a bushing problem... if you already have your suspension done you could go out and get the es bushing kit, that should tighten things up for you.
