Default Bought OEM Fog Lights Without Wiring Harness ......what next.....?

Hey all,

I recently acquired some used OEM foglights with the switch but the wiring harness was not included.....

My question is what is everyone doing in this situation. Making their own....? Can the harness be purchased separately....? Junkyard...?

Is there an easy solution? I really dont have a lot of time or experience with electrical to be making one or time to hunt in junkyards....

I searched and did not see any threads specific to topic just installations for OEM "style" kits etc.... so any answers could make this a useful thread for future reference.

I believe passwordjdm sells the fog lights, but only with the harness as an option. Maybe they would sell you just a harness? Might be worth a try...

Hmmm

wire it up your self is the only solution.

You cant buy seperatly unless its from HT or someother place like Ebay.

BUT I think there is only a relay, switch and wires. power and ground.

I will definetly try that option. I did talk to them a couple days ago and they said that the no name brand kits are cheaper and include wiring but I am stubborn and didnt want to listen (I've learned my lesson about no name brands ).

Anyhow I am confident that with some time I can make one but I really want to keep it as clean and use as much OEM equipment as possible.

If you did make your own harness you could get around the plug problem by just using a different set of plugs and replacing the one from the lights. It would be different than oem but you wouldn't be sacrificing anything and no one would know it isn't factory. The wires all get put in looms and taped up anyway.

I'm assuming you either have an EG4 or EG6... scroll to the bottom of this link...

http://www.slhondaparts.com/br...ERIOR

08V31-SR8-10007 - Switch Harness
08V31-SR0-30008 - Foglight Harness

I'm not 100% sure these are what you need, but maybe you can give them a call...

Hope this helps, GL.

EDIT: these guys are not necessarily the best place to buy them, but it's a good start...

Well, if you have a guy offering you the 96-98 harness for FREE, then try it and see. I'm not sure if they have the same pin connections, length, etc... so post what you find if you go this route...

But have you checked the link I posted? The harnesses for the Lights and Switch are not that expensive... even cheaper if you do some more digging... At least you'll know they're brand new, are the correct harnesses for an EG4/EG6, and you have an actual brick & mortar shop to deal with...
