Icon2 Bogging Issues

I'm having serious bogging issues at low rpms. I've changed my TPS but it still does it. the weird thing is that its not all the time. I've unplugged my map sensor and she still does it. Ive unplugged the idle control too and shes fine sometimes but sometime she still bogs. She also idles to high sometimes. Does anyone have any idea what this is?? And how I can test before buying parts?

Have you checked for ECU codes? That would narrow where to start. I am having a similar issue and i ordered a new IACV and i'm hoping that will fix it.

If you replaced tps, make sure it is adjusted to correct voltage. You cant just slap that on. But vacuum leaks could be your problem. Theres numerous things to look for, a check engine light code can point us in the right direction. Is there a fluctuation in rpms when the car is still?

@97ek Yea there is sometimes a fluctuation in rpms. And I have a check engine but I am having issues finding someone that has the obd1 connection so finding the code it's shooting is hard.

you dont need a speacial tool to get the code just use a paper clip. there is write up here somewhere on how to check obd1 codes

huh? To pull the code(s) you jump the green connector under the glovebox with a paperclip, turn the ignition to "on" and the cel will flash the codes

Have you checked your fuel pump? Is it installed correctly?

I was having the same problem in my civic and it turns out the fuel pump was installed wrong and whenever it got below a certain gas level it would bog horribly.

Have you tried using a different IACV? Or have you tried cleaning yours?

Plugs/plug wires?

Clogged cat? Unbolt it and see if it makes a difference.

Fuel filter clean?

Test with a different ECU?

Start checking things off and narrow it down.
