re-check the valve cover gasket, and make sure all of the inner spark plug gaskets are still in there or seated proberly! Possibly a vaccum leak.

test ur iacv by taking off ur intake and covering the two small holes in your throttle body with your finger (i beleive the iacv is the top one but not sure). if it is sucking air then u should take the iacv off a clean it or replace it.

im having pretty much the same issue aswell. I cant figure mine out quite.

Just check for vaccume leaks, then test the iacv, make sure the dizzy is working properly.

thats all i know to do, and it isnt helping me.

its not your idle screw there should be no reason that it should be out of whack it you didnt touch it...all the possible problem suggestions have been listed above already..(iacv,vacuum leaks, tps, timing,ect..)try them out and let us know the end result

you can have a valve cover leak and it wouldnt mean dick its eather you timing or the little screw on your throttle body it will have a little bit of paint on it from actory. mine was doing the same thing after it got hot and it was driving me nuts and it can get out of wack. also test you tps. throttle posi. sen. that will do it to. check for leaks with somr brake clean just shoot a SMALL amount around you intake and see if it changes you idle. we have a smoke mach. at the shop i work at and it will blow a little bit of smoke out of any gasket leaks in you intake.

no, knock sensors wont cause idle issues, A knock sensor will just keep vtec from engaging properly.

seems many people have this problem. Me too, but not exactly the same.
Sometimes when I start the car (hot engine), my idle is fine, but only when I give it a step of gas and the RPM goes up a bit (let's say around 2500rpm), and it will drops down to 1000 or even lower at 700, and it goes back up slowly to around 1300...It happens usually when I let go the gas, the rpm will be dropped a bit too low..I tried to adj the idle screw (the one on the throtle body)...but doesn't really help. In fact, I'm not suppose to adj that idle screw....

well...don't know what happen then..it starts happening after I have a valve tune up...
