Blown radio fuse?
well today was the firsat time in about 8 months that I've really used my A/C and when I would turn the a/c on , the fuse for my radio (stock) would blow, I put in a hight amp fuse and it still blew. I drive with my a/c off and it works fine, turn it on. 'POP'.
Anyone know what the deal is? I know they use seperate fuses, and I checked all the others but the only one that pops is the a/c. (98 civic EX)
Thanks

Wait. your contradicting yourself. wich fuse blows. radio or ac?
Anyway its the same procedure for each. just follow the power and ground wires from the units untill you find the open wire/bad connection.
And where in san bernadino are you? i used to live in valencia/santa clarita

Re: Blown radio fuse? (KAMiN)
its my radio fuse that blows.
I'd follew the wires but I honestly don't know how to take out the stock radio, It sits flush in the center console, and I have a bad habit of breaking things that fit flush with anything ,while attempting to take it out.
If know one know I'll just go to pep boys to look in the service manual.

There should be like some metal brackets called keys I think that you slide in the sides of that radio to take it out.

To remove your radio you should remove the bottom console (where your cup holders are), then look underneath there up towared your radio and their should be like 2-3 bolts holding it in. The tricky part is getting it all uplugged to pull it out. I believe on mine it made it easier to pull out the whole console part where your radio is mounted. It is installed in there with clips so it is not a big deal. I have a 99ex so it should be essentialla y the same. Remember to get your OEM radio code after you uplug it. It sounds like to me that youhave a short circuit somwhere. have you changed out your radio anytime lately. Especially since the radio and ac wires are so close together it sounds like a short somwhere. let me nkow
