which is better? z6 or y8 head?
ok the timing belt on my 93 dx jsut snapped... d15b7...i dont know if hte head is shot yet, but if it is im considering a mini me....which would wake up my car more? a z6 head or a y8 head?....then again imalso thinking about jsut swapping the motor out with another d just for the iwnter....mine has 278k still ran like aa champ...original timing belt and original clutch...i boguth the car off the original owner and most of the miles were highway miles and he never really beat on it...i bought it for 350$ and 15 minutes after i left his driveway the timing belt snapped...the cars going to be fixed tomorrow but im also seriously considering a mini me...which head would be better...of course im also considering rebuilding the block? or am i jstu wasting my time on this motor? what should i do

To my knowledge, the bare z6 head is better, however, the y8's manifold makes up for the shortcomings and ends up making a bit more power. The difference isn't very large, so get whatever you can find easier/cheaper
