Better performance/Intake

Better performance/Intake
forgive me, I'm a dumbass with my first honda. I have a 94 civic cx 3d/hb w/ the 1.5. pretty pathetic, but it would be a great car if it just performed a bit better acceleration wise. I've been told that one thing that would help is a larger intake. my question is- how much should I pay someone to do that? I don't want to get ripped off...

check out ebay, they have a lot of inexpensive intakes. you can either get a short ram or maybe even a cold air system. i wouldn't pay more than $50 whatever brand you decide to go with. oh, and don't pay anyone to install it for you, you can do it yourself. it's a very simple bolt-on

you can slap on the fattest intake, biggest exhaust, high performance spark plug wires, headers, etc. but you will still be at 1.5 L. you want more power, do a swap, or increase your displacement, build up your motor's internals, and port/polish your head
