Default cold air intake

I have a '95 civic cx hatchback. Small 1.5 engine. Thought I would install a 3 1/2 inch cold air intake for laughs. Will I screw things up if I do that. I don't plan on changing the manifold or exhaust. Will I have too much intake to match up with exhaust and mess up the engine? Any help out there ???
Thanks !!!

lol. Good luck trying to screw that on. The cx throttle body is like 2''. I tried screwing a 3'' intake on a buddy's cx, and that thing couldn't stay on for dear life

It will be fine you will just need a reducer coupling to the tb.

The intake will do a little better than stock, but the intake tube being any larger than the tb opening won't really do any good, since the air will bottle-neck at the tb.
