i think pretty much any SOHC series motor is pretty good. if you click my siggy i have my gasslog and i have the D16Z6 getting 35 mpg and now 41mpg. of course the D15Z1 is one of the better mpg but it feels like it has no power compared to the z6.

my y8 with 176k on it is getting around 30-32 city and 34-36 highway. Ive been using walmart/sams club gas with 10% ethanol too. it could use a tuneup as well but im selling it anyways. really depends on how you drive too. Ive slowed down 5 to 10 mph everywhere i go and ive been getting 2 or 3 mpg better since then.

the D15Z1 and the tranny that goes with that motor. it was in the 92-95 Civic Vx. You can get upwards of 50mpg
