Battery/alternator Issue * searched*
I'll keep it simple. When the car is on, the car functions perfectly fine, etc. No battery light on dash, etc. But when I turn it off, and hook my voltmeter to the batt, it consistently looses voltage, 12.85, 12.84, 12.83, etc. Down to around 10.3 V. Which is BARELY enough to make the engine turn over if anything. Is this OBVIOUSLY the battery? I rather trust H-T than Pep-boys or whatever. Thanks in advanced!

Is the voltage dropping while its connected? Test the voltage with it disconnected if it still drops. then its the battery for sure.

there you go. you knew what it was. the alternator was "helping to keep the car running. But if you do that too long you will have to buy a new alternator.
change the battery

did you check for any parasitic drain? maybe you have something draining the battery while the car is off..
if you voltmeter does amps.. remove the neg wire and complete the circuit with your volt/amp meter.. see if there is any amps..
there should be some.. i think like 0.5 amps is acceptable..
if thats fine.. its definitly the battery

Sorry for taking long. Ok I bought a new battery, and problem is %99 gone. Thing is, the battery would still lose Volts even while DISCONNECTED! So that eliminates the parasitic drag possibility, which I thought too, good suggestion. The %1 left is when I pull down all 3 windows at the same time, the engine at idle, lights on, the lights kinda dim a LITTLE bit, but if I accelerate, they come back to normal. Its only ever so slightly. . but I'm not sure if its even supposed to do that!
