I have been having problems with my main relay, and the other day my car started up and then all of a sudden cut off. The car cranks but will not start. The check engine light comes on too and the fuel pump does not prime. I went to the junk yard and got another main relay and the car still does not start. I have my power windows hooked up to my cruise control button to feed the windows power, and the cruise control power does not come on either, so in order to put my windows up I connected another power source to the wires and the windows rolled up and the cruise control button lighted up. When the cruise button lighted up from the power i realized that i heard the fuel pump prime and i also heard my injectors come on. But the car still does not start and i see that the speedometer is starting to jump back and forth. With the extra power wire still hooked up the car will start when i push start it. and when i disconnect the wire , the car would die again. I have notice that the car would only push start with the main relay from the junkyard and it still would not even push start with the orginal main relay. So could it be that both of the main relays are bad..that is what i am really thinking....or could it be a bad ignitor...will the car push start with a bad ignitor...i know that the ecu is good cause i put it in another car and it started fine.
