B20 swap Q's
I already have a B16 but with blow head
Going to go B20 ,http://hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=2771570
I have read that I CAN use my b16 tranny but NOT the rear mount?
Do I also need a jumper harness to OBD1 since the head is OBD1?
Any input?

Re: B20 swap Q's
Get a OBD2 dizzy off a LS motor, OBD1 P75 or chipped P06, ODB2\OBD1 jumper harness, tuck your plugs for VTEC out the way (cleanly), and yes your b16 trans will work but consider this, b20's dont like to be revved high like a b16 trans tends to do and the torque curve of a b20 is really flat all the way across the tach, so argueably the better choice for a b20 would be the longer gearing of a LS trans.

Re: B20 swap Q's
I would take a b16 trans over a LS trans on a b20 anyday... If you do a ton of highway driving then ya LS but if not the b16 will get you going a hell of a lot faster.... Ya it will rev harder, thats kinda the point, thats when you shift....
b16 or gsr trans FTW!!
BTW I have a b20 with a b16 trans and I love it.

Re: B20 swap Q's
<-- built b20 ( 12.4 c/r) on a ls trans. I use it for a auto-x/road race car, and usually run better times than my friends cuz i shift alot less. but to each his own.

Re: B20 swap Q's
If hes running the p75 then he needs to tune for the b20, and not leave it mapped for a 1.8L.. then he can convert to OBD1, which the knock sensor will not be used.
+1 on the LS trans. With the higher torque of the B20, the longer gearing wont hurt the performance, but help it.
