Default b20 problems

i have a b20 in a ek coupe.i converted it from obd2b to obd1 and had it runnin for about a week fairly good with code 14 which is iacv,i also had to convert the harness from 3 wire to 2 wire for the iacv.only problem that i had is when i was gettin of the interstate and sometimes in slower driving conditions when i let off the gas it would die.i had a slow coolant leak so i pulled water pump to change the rubber seal on it and now my car has a deeper tone, back fires slightly but constant and will not idle for ****. I have double checked the timing several times and replaced the iacv. did my ecu go out coinsidentally? any suggestions.thanks
