Default help!! B20 in a EK and wont turn on??fuel pump??

oki i just dropped a b20 swap in my ek hatch. the hatch was running but the auto tranny was going out.. so i took that motor out and installed a b20 i had lying around. now once i installed the motor whenever i turn the key to the ON position the check engine light doesn't turn on and the fuel pump doesn't purge. as of right now it has the original ecu in it. i have checked every fuse possible and nothing... anybody else had a similar problem and can shed some light?

you can use th stock 5speed dx ecu for the b20, what you need to do is change some wires around on your ecu, which if i remember correctly on my car is you move fuel line around on the ecu pin out and you take out the a orange wire for the IACV...i know ek squad has a picture but i cant find it at the moment

found it:

Does the engine crank? Are you saying the the fuel pump DOES prime now? Are you getting fuel pressure when cranking if it does? If yes to all, check your spark at the spark plugs. Let it spark to the engine bay, and let it sit grounded on the engine bay. Is the spark consistant and blue.

Keep on cranking and push the gas pedal. It will start sooner or later if it has spark and fuel.

here is my new problem!---- when im cranking on it when the motor is turning it seems like the starter gives up. because it cranks-cranks-cranks and then stops like it gets stuck on something. i have never had a problem like this before and have no idea what to do! i'm trying to guess and say the starter is bad but i dunno. if i could get one of my friends to come over i'm going to try to push start it.

now, batt. started going low so i was jump starting it and i now noticed the starter is super hot and the ground on the batt and down by the tranny is very hot! so could this be another problem or what??

I had the same problem on a b18. Turns out a motor i got was fucked when we did the swap. I cranked it anyways and right when it turned on i threw a bearing through my oil pan. hopefully this doesnt happen to you dude good luck. Not saying that had anything to do with the starter.
