coolant dissapearing in reserve tank
hey guys, when i did my b20 swap in my car it seemed like i was having problems with my cooling system. i was having leaks from the bypass hoses on im and radiator. so i replaced the radiator, got new hoses that go to the IM and the radiator hoses are new. now when i drive my car after about 2 days i check the reserve tank and the coolant level is about 1/2in. from the bottom. my car stays at normal temps when driving and all and i dont think my fan is working. when i look under the hood i can see coolant on the reserve tank but no noticible leaks throughout the whole engine.
any help would be greatly appreciated. im tired of buying coolant every month lol

Jump the connector for the fan switch on the thermostat housing. This should make the fan run all of the time and means that the switch is bad. If the fan still doesn't run, wire it directly to the battery to test whether fan motor is dead.
Regarding the loss of coolant, try bleeding the cooling system of possible trapped air.

ya i think you may be right about the fan switch being bad. becuz if a hook up the fan to the battery it will turn on. regarding the bleeding of the cooling system i did today but i do not know if i did it right.
i turned the car on withought the radiator cap and left it running for about 5-7 minutes.

The bleeding process normally takes from 20-30 minutes. Make sure you turn the dash heater lever to MAX heat and also put the car on an inclined driveway with the engine up to help the bubbles come out.

is it ok for coolant to spill out while bleeding the system? also another q. do you think the reserve tank could have a tiny hole in it? i mean i i took it out of the car, cleaned it out and filled it with water to see if i could see any leakage but none.
