B20 help
hey guys, i was recently planning to swap a b20 in my civic hatch but i had some question and maybe you guys can help me out. first of all, how much is it approxomatly for a complete b20 swap in a 97 civic? i heard that the bottom of the engine bay in civic are a bit harder to fit b20 in. is that true? i also heard that b20 arent that reiable and this car will be a daily driver. is it worth the swap? any comments would be apperciated. thanks guys

Re: B20 help
i currently have a b20 in my 97 coupe. its a great daily motor as with any motor its only as reliable as the driver. if you ride all day in 2nd gear and dont change the oil then no its not gonna last. b20s are pretty cheap so look for the swap to be about $800+ depending on ya shopping abilities

Re: B20 help
I had a B20 EG years ago with an LS trans and it was great on fuel. I got roughly the same mileage as I did with the D15. If your on the gas all the time, it'll drink fuel. Any car is bad on gas if you abuse it.
So I guess the real question is... is your driving bad on gas?

You can try http://www.tigerjapanese.com for the motor. I bought mine through these guys. My motor still had the original Honda oil filter on it. The thing was better than mint.
