Default B20 feels like it is missing under steady acceleration.

Okay, well let's start off by telling you about the engine. B20b, B20 cams, Skunk 2 Pro 2 Intake manifold, Megan header and Ebay cat back, no converter, Injen short ram intake system, obd2 injectors, and distributor, Xenocron 255LPH fuel pump, Hondata S100 Dyno tuned by Jim Helbing of motorvations Motorsports in Trussville Alabama. Okay, lately I have been having a problem with what I believe the car to be missing while holding a steady speed. It seems like it is losing power while driving, at 45 or 55. It doesn't act like a normal miss, but like something screwey is going on. Sometimes under 2000RPM when taking off the car wants to "studder" for a second, but then cleans right up. I have replaced the plugs, with NGK V-Power plugs, gapped at around .42, NGK spark plug wires, Borg Warner Distributor cap and rotary button, new air filter, (dirty anyways) Fuel filter, (needed one anyways) and I even switch the coil out with a known good one to see if maybe it was getting weak. So my question is anyone have any ideas? Is there something I am overlooking. The only thing I can think of is the tune is messing up, because it seems it started doing it when the weather changed, or maybe that's when I really started noticing it. I am kind of stumped and was wondering if I should worry about it or no. Thanks in advance for the help. Looked into everything I possibly can think of at the moment. Oh yeah, and before anyone asks, no CEL's on at the present time.

The response seems to be fine, a little lag sometimes, but it picks up power fine still.

might be bad gas. run that water eliminator stuff in the gas tank and get new injectors.

It may be bad gas, but the injectors are only a year old, and I purchased new screens and O-rings for them a few months ago when I put the Skunk intake manifold on it, those injectors shouldn't be problematic. But I can clean them I guess if that turns out to be the problem. The problem is that the car has a NO power loss feel what so ever. It still runs very well, just that "miss feeling" under steady acceleration. I thought it may be bad gas too, so what do I need to use in the tank? Someone said Seafoam, but I have never used anything like that before, nor have I ever put anything in my tank before, so what do you recommend?

go to auto parts stores even wally world i dont remember the name but its a red bottle and says that it take water out of the tank. and sea foam is not a bad idea. dump some if in ur tank run the car screaming for help for a while. dump a lil more in ur intake same ****. dump the last bit in with your oil and go for a nice ride getting on it hear and there. it lubes ***** up and cleans sludge out.

It isn't that easy, I cost money to put it on the dyno. Cost me 300.00 dollars to tune it six months ago or so, I shouldn't have a problem with the tune, but may, I don't know. But Jim won't hook it up and check the tune for free, even though he tuned it and he should.

dude im just saying if you dont wanna hurt what has already been done you mite wanna go back to him unless thier is someone else that can check it out, if it was a stock motor then we all could piece something together and figure it out but since its kinda built and tuned its always best to go back to the guy who tuned it, dont you have a laptop you can atleast see what its saying

It has something to do wiht your ecu. Had the same problem before. I was running a chipped p28 and after getting a new chip . . . gone. Its like you can feel it when you step on the gas but somewhere down the line you can feel it stop and then after acouple hundreds of RPM it goes back.

That's sort of what I feel I guess, if I understand what you are saying. I feel it most when I am "normal driving", trying to hold the car at a certain speed, it is a "dead miss" per say.
