Re: b20 bore (v.i.gsr)
I believe the largest most people go with a B series is 87mm. That's really pushing it though.
Why would you bother building a "B20VTEC" if you're going to sleeve and bore the block anyway?
The stroke is the same as a LS block and, you loose out on oil coolers and girdle if you don't use the GSR block.
If you have the VTEC bottom block, I'd stick with that.
B20 bottom ends are typically used for people who don't have the money to have a block sleeved but want the larger displacement.

87 is the max for all-motor race only application, but 85 is the max for turbo. May want to stay just shy of the max size so you have some room to re-bore if needed!

Re: (GoldenEagleMfg.com)
All aftermarket b-series sleeves start out at 81mm anyways, but like these other guys said you can have it bored a bit bigger for some applications. I would leave some room for a rebuild though just to be safe. Just get yourself an LS block because the b20 block will cost a little bit more to sleeve because of the funky stock sleeve desgin (different than other b-series motors).

golden eagle has some nice sleeves and they are not that expensive. I don't understand why people dis on the b20 so much. it puts out so much more TQ than any other B-Series motor. I would only take a B20 out to 2.1 or 2.2(race only application). But get it built buy a race shop for something 2.2L. its gona take alot to make a B20 that size and keep it running strong.
