Default B18c1 into 2000 ej8

Hey whats up honda-tech, I recently sold my ej8 with b18c swap, and picked up a 2000 ex with a b16a motor, but unfortunatley 2 weeks later the motor spun a bearing, and I want to drop a b18c1 motor in it, What will I need additional to what I already have??! The b18c1 comes with original transmission, Original block and head, greddy headers, stock IM, all sensors, and harness, and he will write a bill of sale that the motor runs and everything. I doesn't come with mounts, Mid/half shaft, axles...

You'll need axles, Shift Linkage(94-01 B Series), the ECU for the GSR(P72), Motor Mounts, and if its OBDI then you'll need to look up what you need to do to get it to work in your car(Since your car is OBDII). I do not know since my swap was OBDI to OBDI. Do some more research and you'll figure out everything you need to know.

Some incorrect info in this.

There is no need for different axles, or shiftlinkage.

Keep mounts you have now, you may need to pull the bracket off the b16, and put it on the b18.

You may have a few wiring, issues, but, if you still the b16, you shouldn't have much of a problem.

What ecu do you currently run?

Yeah lol, so use everything the same, except I'm going to need to do some wiring like the the intake butterfly's an few other minor things??!

And as for ecu I currently have a obd1 p28 chipped and tuned for the b16... I have a obd2b to obd1 jumper..

If you run the GSR manifold you should wire in the butterflys, but, honestly, pull that manifold off and replace it will an aftermarket peice. Skunk2 from what I am told, makes a decent manifold, and it's not too expensive.

Keep the p28, and when you are all done take it to a shop and have it tuned.

Keep the harness that is in the car, unless, it's hacked up. In that case just find another 1999-00 harness.

Everything from the b16, (except IM) should swap straight over if you have issues with the plugs.

If you throw a Blox,ITR,or Skunk2 IM on it you wont have to wire the IAB at all and its better for you

You'll need the P72 : 96-00 OBD-2 Integra GSR ECU or you can get your p28 retuned like 98civdx said.

like said above use the same mounts, linkage etc
use the b16 engine harness

put the b16 head on the gsr block, youll get a nice bump in comp
and no butterfly junk intake mani

and also run the b16 transmission, better gearing for the 1.8

then sell the leftover parts to fund mods for the motor

All USDM hydro axles are the same, so yes it will fit.
b series hydro are the same including type r....then there are b series cable clutch...the hub side of the axle is the same...the only difference is the driver side where it goes into the half shaft.
Pulled from another Thread on HT.

So yes i would say you can use the mid/half shaft from the b16.

Everything else is direct swap. Just a matter of ECUs whether or not it's OBD2a or OBD2b.

the only thing with the B16 trans on a B18 is when youre in 5th youll be doing about 70 at 4-5k rpm.....buddy of mine has a B18 swap with B16 trans and the lower gearing is amazing but if you do a lot of highway driving id say go with the B18 trans

Or do some tranny work and have a B16 1-3, GSR 4th, LS 5th, GSR Final, setup. For both city/highway.
