B16a2 misfires and sometimes won't turn on,help.
Hi,i've a b16a2 and have been undergoing some misfiring issues. The first symptom that i notice, when i drive in hot weather or when having a long ride the engine misfires at idle and sometimes dies, then when i start up it won't turn on easily.I should press the gas or wait for a few mins to start the engine on.Also, when i'm reversing then shifting to 1st,the idle comes below 800rpm and often dies. When it idles below 800 rpm, sometimes it throws a code map sensor.
So i start from replacing the spark plugs, rotor, distributor cap, ignition coil, map sensor and still acts as before. No changes at all.I even test an another ecu,but in vain. What could be the possible reasons of this issue?Bad distributor, bad injectors, bad fuel pump, wiring issues,etc....Help me out. Thanks in advance.

Have you replaced the ignitor? I've heard from shop techs at work that the ignitor can be a PITA because it gets "forgotten" about sometimes during misfire diags. Your fuel pump could also be weak making the car run without full fuel pressure.

Check your main relay. Usually the no-start or weird start condition when its hot outside involves the main relay having dry solders. Check the main relay, theres a FAQ on the net somewhere.

Probably its my ignitor but do other parts that may result the engine to sputter?By the way,i don't doubt my fuel pump because when i run fast,is does not misfire.15 mins before a check engine light was thrown and eveytimes it continues behave like that.Does a bad ignitor has a link with map sensor, specially when misfiring at idle?

i would def. check your compression. it sounds like u could possibly have bent valves or ur leaking air-fuel somwhere. if uve replaced all ignition components and there dosent seem to be anything wrong with ur fuel pump i would check there. even tho ur igniting ur airfuel mixture ur compression might b to low to produce enough power causing ur car to die at idle.
