b16a2 intake no holes for sensors

Default b16a2 intake no holes for sensors

Intake manifold has provisions but no holes for sensor to mount. trying to install on type r head in gsr. What does sensor do?

map sensor is supposed to go there. I put mine in the intake since my intake manifold doesn't a hole either, works just as well. you're ecu will throw a code if a map sensor isnt connected

It's the air intake temperature sensor, not the map.

i thought the map sensor was on top of the tb

okay now i see, so should i just line up the gasket for that sensor on the provision on the manifold mark it and drill it? or....

You have 3 options.

1. Drill and thread for the OBDI IAT sensor.
2. Install OBDII IAT sensor in intake tube not manifold, extend harness.
3. Get intake manifold from del Sol VTEC (94-95 for sure, not sure about 96-97) or Integra Type R.
