d15b7 intake manifold question.
im putting a D15b7 into my 1990 civic hatch std, and i have two intake manifolds to choose from.. both off of b7's.
one has the map sensor on the tb and the other one doesnt have a map sensor.
which one should i use? are they pretty much the same intake?
if i use the one without the map sensor, can i just hook up to the map sensor that already exists on my firewall?
..and if i use the one with the map sensor, can i eliminate the sensor on my firewall?
thanks.

You pretty much nailed it. Use the one without for easiest no hassle installation. Use the one with and remove the original one from the firewall (or leave it installed and not plugged into anything).

Re: d15b7 intake manifold question.
think im gonna use the IM with the map sensor on the TB.
it'll make my firewall look a little less cluttered and the IM with the map sensor on top is in better condition. so that's word.
thanks man!

You could just swap the TB since the MAP sensor is on the TB. Use the better intake mani and the TB that dose not have a MAP sensor located on it.

Re: d15b7 intake manifold question.
when you change to different throttle bodies. dont you have to do some diy type calibrations; like rev the car to a certain rpms. etc, etc.?
i assume since they are both the same TB's they should sync right up.. assumingly.

If it has the original non removable bolts intact it shouldn't need to be re-calibrated. If you feel better knowing it's calibrated then go for it.

Re: d15b7 intake manifold question.
that's a good answer 24ten. i don't know the exact calibrating procedure, so i'm just gonna throw it on, hold on to my bootstraps and hope it works. good looking out guys!
