it seems like most people who posted on here are just bragging or arguing over which engine is better. @ OP JUST pick ANY engine that runs, is affordable and is from a reliable buyer.

Er. yeah. That's what ALWAYS happens when they allow these pointless threads to go on.

am i the only one who thinks that this is a terrible idea??? do you ever go past 3k rpms to acutally spool the turbo?

ill hold my b series at redline, and you hold your d series at redline, and we will quickly find out which is the better set up.

We are redlining our motors in neutral? Yikes! For how long? Till they blow? LMFAO. I'll put money on the B.

Are you a moron? How does basic maintenance come off as a terrible idea? Yes, I frequently bounce the redline, and yes, I frequently use launch control. I have had zero problems with my turbo install. Also for the record, I hit full boost at 2k.

Yes you are the only one... and if you think sitting on redline till they blow is reasonable then

I may be new to this forum but I'm definitely not new to f/i or builds for that matter. I don't know the honda platform too well just yet but if his set-up has lasted repair free for over 2 years then I would be more than satisfied. Usually even a high end set-up needs some sort of tweak after that long. Given leaving his tranny to fend for itself for that long isn't smart but thats another story.

Diagnosis took a while. It's been fixed. In fact, every bearing, seal, and synchro in the housing was replaced. It was also a minor, non-emergency problem, thus why it took so long.

I had an 00 si w/ stock motor and it sucked ***
Changed to bulit b20vtec and I was getting neck jerking torque.

Then later on I had a 96 hatch w/ b20z and b16 trans
Fun little car on the highway but,I missed the top end

To be honest tho I am biased now since having gone k-series,I would not recommend anything b-series. Good luck
