Icon2 B16a out; Type R In

Ok so when I get back from Texas, I am going to order a B18C Type R spec to put into my 93 hatch. It already has a b16a in it, but the thing is since the b16 is OBD1, what would I need to do to get the Type R to run correctly, atm I have a p28 ecu that is chipped and socketed. But I know that I will need to get a right hand drive engine harness for the new motor, but will I need to get a OBD2a to OBD1 conversion harness for the ECU? Or use the OBD2 ecu that comes with the motor? And If I keep OBD1 what all would I need to do if I use the engine harness that goes with the TypeR. I don't want to use the old engine harness cause I am afraid some of the wiring maybe bad which could have led to all the dizzy problems I am having. I am sorry if this has been asked a bunch before, I just thought i'd ask myself to see what kind of answers I got.

sounds like all you need is a z6 engine harness, chip and tune your ecu.

Why a z6 harness? I am just wondering because the motor I am ordering comes with a engine harness, but it is for the obd2. I just don't want to have to go and cut and rewire stuff on a old harness to make this work.

ur z6 harness will be plug and play... u can wire the knock sensor but shouldnt need it if ur planning on running the p28.. ull just need to reuse ur dizzy and alternator off ur b16..

Well I don't know if it is a z6 harness, I don't want to use the one I have right now cause of fear that the wiring is bad. But my hatch is RHD, I am not sure if the harness is for the b16a that is in it or for something else. The dizzy in my b16 is shot that is one of the reasons I am going to put a swap in, I am not paying $500 for a new oem dizzy from honda. The alternator should be fine. But I am going to use the p28 ecu if I can, but if I use the harness from the Type R how can I make that work with the ecu?

OBD2 integra harnesses are a 2 piece design, just like OBD1 civic's, so it will plug right into your existing shock tower plugs.

I'm confused. First: You have a RHD Civic, shouldn't the wires be plug and play with your new JDM OBD2 swap? Secondly: Blown dizzy justifies buying a new swap? Go for it.

Thank you guys for the help I really appreciate it. But no it doesn't mean that I'm going to buy a new swap cause the dizzy went out. I have always wanted to do one myself so I can learn more about the whole process. And this is my chance to do it so I'm going to take it.
