b16 with type-r ecu
i got a 92 b16a a week ago and its sitting in my garage. it has everything and a pr3 ecu. its all obd1 but my friend said the ecu was obd0. this forms a problem since my car is a 96 and obd2.
anyways, i can get a type-r ecu for cheap and its obd2. if i use that with my obd1 motor, will it just go together and work fine? i was ganna get a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness for my pr3 ecu, but this might be better. can anyone help me?

Re: b16 with type-r ecu (allmtr)
okay i re-read your post. the only options you have is to sell the motor and get a obd-2 motor or you can use the OBD-1 motor, you need a OBD1 ecu with a OBD2-1 harness convertor. its gonna be a bitch though.

If you wanna run a ITR ECU you're gonna have to have everything OBDII or you're going to be throwing a bunch of codes. Your swap isn't going to be legal in Cali as you need a newer engine than your car. You can run a chipped P28 with the OBDII-OBDI convertor, and it will still power your car, but it won't be legal if you ever have to take it to the ref or try to get it smogged legally.
