Default B series clutch

Is it true that all B series clutches are the same?. Like using a Type R clutch for an B16 tranny?

Thanks

1990-1991 Integras and cable B16A trannies are not interchangable.

So not all the B Series clutches are the same, but the 1992-up ones are.

So yes a Type R clutch will fit any 1992-up B16A tranny such as the hydro JDM, Del Sol VTEC, and 99-00 Si coupe versions.

Also 1992-2001 Integra clutches are all interchangable even though their Honda part numbers might be different.

Which ones fit the cable trans, then? Is there a stock clutch from a US car that will fit, or is it Japan-only?
Sorry, I'm not up on my early b16 trivia.

Order the clutch for a 1990-1991 Integra LS, RS, whatever and it will fit the cable B16A trannies UNLESS it's the later cable tranny from an OBD1 Integra XSi, which is the same as the 1992-up ones. The later models should be a YS1 though.

Within the past 2 months I have put a 98 ITR clutch into a CRX with a first gen B16, and I also installed a 95 GSR clutch into a 91 Integra LS. Both are working perfectly.

The spline size is totally different on the Y1, J1, and S1 cable B16A trannies than it is for the 1992-up B series trannies.

Sorry man but there will be some slop in the clutch disc where it meets the mainshaft if you really put a bigger (1992-up style) clutch disc onto an older B16A tranny.

It can work, but it will be loose and is not recommended.

The only way it's be perfect is if those cars you did those ITR clutches on had the 1992-1993 cable YS1 trannies, which IMO is doubtful.

If you guys would like, I can bring my camera in tomorrow and snap some pics of the differences in shaft size. You know I'd not lie about something like this, right?
