Default axle setups...

As I understand it... if you swap an H22 into a civic 92-95 you are suppose to use the prelude intermediate with GSR axle shafts.

But... if you swap an F22 into EG then you use the accord intermediate with LS axles right???

Has anyone even done this swap before or am I the only one???

Oh, and to answer the mount question asked earlier... I used the Yonaka mounts with the prelude rear mount bracket and the camside mount bracket from a 90-93 accord. It sits nice and pretty. In the process of having a traction system designed that will offer a front mount to fit. Many changes were made to equip this vehicle to handle the new engine. I have all the specs and prices on everything I have done. I even created a tech manual for the car. Straight from honda. Thanks to many friends and a lot of time on all data and at the dealership.

The only downside to the swap is that I lost power steering. The upside is that I can reinstall air conditioning and a complete turbo setup. Still kept cruise control too. And the booger is fast. Only been beat by a turbo deisel in 4-wheel drive with mods. Haven't had another swapped civic beat it all motor. Even the GSR's. The thing that the american muscle guys have down is that torque. Torque wins races. Power to weight is where we (the tuners) get them. So, why not add torque and go for it too???

Many people asked why I just didn't do an H22 swap. I tell them that I wanted a boosted car. The H22 in the civic doesn't offer enought room to fit a proper turbo setup. And to those that question the F22, look at the power gains on 10lbs of boost. Now, contact Turbonetics and ask them to make a turbo/exhaust manifold for your car. The gains are awesome when things are done right. N/A my biggest problem is traction. The D16z6 on 15lbs of boost, (which is what I used to have) only got a good 140ft/lbs torque to the ground. So, my opt for the F22, and unless someone I race knows their stuff, they wouldn't notice a difference at night looking under my hood.
